Health Risks of Vaping CBD Revealed

Vaping seems to be the most chosen option by many smokers who are desperately looking for means to quit smoking without getting intoxicated further or experiencing and withdrawals. However, there seems to be a common problem amongst many CBD vapers. This problem is usually stemmed mainly due to the poor regulation over the vaping market. This has, in general, resulted subsequently in an unreliable quality of vapes and vape oil.

The United States Army issued a public health warning early this year after the medical centers at two bases in North Carolina treated about 60 patients for health issues within a couple of months. The officials found that most of these health issues were related to the use of vapes and CBD vape oils. The symptoms included:

  • Headaches
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Disorientation
  • Agitation
  • Seizures

A couple of months after the incident the North Carolina health officials issued another warning of their own receiving a report of another 30 patients suffering from different kind of health issues. The local emergency rooms confirmed that people complained about different health issues such as:

  • Hallucinations,
  • Heart irregularities and
  • Loss of consciousness.

Once again all these issues were results of vaping CBD products.

Both these incidents raised the health concerns of using vapes and other CBD products. The officials feared that there will be an exponential increase in such issues because the interest and access to CBD vaping both are unregulated. This gave rise to legal practice in several states all over America with lots of purported health benefit expands though much of these were not conclusively proven.

Benefits and side effects

Though these facts and findings from the reports are enough to give anyone using vapes and vaping oils a pause or even think twice before using it for medicinal or recreational purposes, there are large shreds of evidence that these have a lot of health benefits.

In addition to that a lot of experts and existing users largely and unanimously agree to that fact that CBD itself and even the vapes are absolutely safe to consume.

However, you can only enjoy the benefits of vaping if you can get your hands on and use an unadulterated variety of CBD tinctures to vape. It is, for this reason, it is recommended that you consider only reliable and reputed stores to buy your product. It is also advised that you visit sites such as kylecbd and others to read the reviews of different brands and products before you choose one for yourself. This will keep you as well as your health safe and enable you to avoid any chances of side effects and other complications.

CBD or cannabidiol is one of the hundreds of active cannabinoid components that are found in a cannabis plant. There have been myriad studies conducted on its potential medical and health benefits. In all cases, it was found that CBD provided people the power to tolerate a wide range of doses of CBD without having to worry about any negative side effects.

This means you can take high dosages of it continually for weeks at a stretch and still have the health benefits that it promises to provide. However, you are requested to consult a physician always prior to starting using it because the fact that it does not have any side effects are subject to the specific health and biological condition of the users. If your metabolism does not support it then you can experience mild and temporary symptoms such as:

  • Irritability
  • Lethargy
  • Reduced appetite
  • Excessive urination
  • Gastrointestinal distress
  • Breathing issues and

Moreover, in the worst case scenarios, it can also cause liver problems and exacerbations of mental wellbeing issues. On the contrary, if your body and physical conditions permit, you will enjoy the opposites of all of the above.

The fact that CBD interacts with enzymes in your liver produces such health concerns because it may also result in an interference with the efficacy of a large number of prescribed drugs such as:

  • Blood thinners
  • Anticonvulsants
  • Antidepressants and others.

Apart from hampering the functionality of these drugs, you also have the risk of unintentional overdosing of the drugs and that would indicate the in the worst effects of CBD.

Another reason why you should consult a physician before you start using a CBD product is that there is continual research on this product and it is not yet time to say anything regarding the safety aspect and side effects of CBD definitively. There are no valid and substantial statistics as to how common these side effects are.

  • It is also very hard if not impossible to differentiate and say how many of these symptoms are directly related to CBD usage and how many of these are a result of any potential interactions between the CBD and other drugs consumed by the users.
  • Apart from that, researchers are also unable to say for sure how any difference in dosage might result in the side effects or interactions with the prescribed drugs.
  • Not only that, the researchers cannot even provide valid data on how CBD usage might affect children and how differently at it as compared to the adults. Adding to the confusion is the fact that the researchers are also not cent percent sure how it might affect the long term users of CBD over a period of decades.

All it can be said though not reliably that drug to drug interactions and side effects can vary dramatically from one person to another. Apart from that, it may also differ in conjugation with other given conditions.

With so many concerns over your health, it is better to consult an expert to prevent any adverse effects. However, scary as it may sound after all these, in general consensus CBD usage have far more benefits than risks, most of which are temporary as well. If you experience any of these side effects, you can easily handle it by changing the dosage. Even the Army’s health warning described pure CBD oil is relatively safe. Therefore, there is no reason for you not to use it.
